REAL WOMEN -- The original idea for a REAL Women publication took shape in the fellowship of women’s ministry at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, MS. As the women of the congregation met and shared life with women in their congregation, it became evident to them that an even bigger opportunity to learn from women around Mississippi existed. And so, REAL Women of Mississippi was developed. For more information e-mail Melinda Sandridge, Editor, at msandridge1@comcast.net or visit www.realwomenofms.com. “REAL Women of Mississippi is designed to be an encouraging challenge to raise the standards of women of all ages and stages of life.” The attached article "Real Heart", is a heartwarming story of a child's journey on the path to listening and spoken language, at Magnolia Speech School. Clarke School for the Deaf Northampton, MA - Announcements
Classroom Acoustic Research -- Clarke is conducting a groundbreaking study to determine how classroom noise and reverberation affect students’ ability to hear in class and what can be done to help minimize these issues. Clarke is currently seeking children ages 5-16 with any level of hearing loss, mild to severe-to-profound, to participate in this important research. Testing takes about two hours and parents will receive an individual report on their child’s classroom hearing that can be useful in educational planning.
Comprehensive Educational Evaluations -- Designed specifically for deaf and hard of hearing students in preschool through high school, Comprehensive Educational Evaluations provide an in-depth understanding of each child’s particular hearing loss and its effect upon his or her academic experience. Audiological, Language, Academic, Speech and Psychological evaluations are integrated to provide interdisciplinary analysis and detailed written recommendations that help in making effective educational decisions.
