looking for a highly motivated teacher of the hearing impaired to work in an
aural program with preschool students.
Educational
Credentials:
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Education
Teacher of Hearing
Impaired Certification/ Special Education Certification
Experience: Teaching experience with preschool children
with special needs. Support the oral philosophy learning style for hearing
impaired children.
Requirements: Skills to communicate effectively with
children who have hearing loss and/or speech/language delays and to work as a
team member in LHSC’s program planning, implementation, and evaluations.
Program Description: LHSC’s Preschool, Pre-K & Kindergarten
Program is a state licensed state approved center, offering children of all
abilities a safe environment to learn and grow. Caring, committed teachers meet
each student where they are in order to achieve their individual education and
communication goals. Language enriched classroom activities, necessary clinical
services and parental involvement all come together to provide a positive and
productive learning experience. Our goal is to ensure that LHSC’s students have
the social and communication skills they need to be successful as they prepare
to begin kindergarten and first-grade with their peers.
